The European Robotics Forum 2013 in Lyon, France, is the robotic event you should not miss.

This 3-day event, from March 19th to 21st 2013, is a meeting point for at least 350 scientists, companies and robotics officials from the European Commission. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for the companies and researchers to meet and interact in workshops and seminars in order to expand their networks, gather the latest relevant information, and build new business and collaborations thereby strengthening the potential of European robotics.

During the entire European Robotics Forum 2013, you will be able to visit the INNOROBO event (www.innorobo.com), free of charge.

Innorobo exhibition is conveniently located two floors down from the forum - and offers a great opportunity to experience state-of-the-art equipment and simulations. 

 

The program for the European Robotics Forum 2013 consists of community-driven workshops with many interesting speakers. Each day, the forum will present five exciting tracks for you to follow. All workshops have a thought-provoking agenda containing the newest developments and trends within robotics. In the program, you can read more about each workshop and find out which ones you find interesting and would like to participate in.

euRobotics AISBL members will be able to elect a new Board of Directors on March 20 at the General Assembly.

Two booklets of candidates with short profiles are now available. 

Industry Director candidates, to be voted by members from Industry, are described here.

Call for the "2013 euRobotics Technology Transfer Award" at the European Robotics Forum 2013 (Lyon); submission of application by 8 Feb 2013

The aim of the "euRobotics Technology Transfer Award" (now in its tenth year!) is to showcase the impact of robotics research and to raise the profile of technology transfer between science and industry. Outstanding innovations in robot technology and automation that result from cooperative efforts between research and industry are eligible for the prize. Cash prizes (a total of 6k€) as well as signed certificates will be awarded for the best applications. The event will be highly visible and will be covered by the press.

WHO IS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE?

Applications are invited from individuals or teams who are associated with:
· Industry, if technology transfer has taken place in Europe.
· European universities, research organizations and laboratories

A team may be represented by up to three members (individuals) in the application......

Innorobo is launching the first "Call for Robotics Starts-up".

The competition will encourage start-ups from around the world to submit business case to a panel of international investors. Twenty semi -finalists will be selected by Innorobo and five finalists will be chosen by the investors. The five finalists will be invited to present their start up on stage in an interactive session following the investors' panel discussion on 19 March at 2.00pm.

Dmitri Grishin, Grishin Robotics, Bruno Bonnell, Robolution Capital and Jan Westerhüs, Robert Bosch Venture Capital as well as François Xavier Meyer from Seb Alliance have agreed to be a part of this first Robotics Call for Start ups - investors gathering. It is an exceptional opportunity for investors to share and exchange with peers and to discover innovative start-ups in the high tech robotics ecosystem.

The workshops all have thought-provoking agenda containing the newest developments and trends within robotics. They cover a wide range of topics from welfare to industry technology.

The final program for the European Robotics Forum 2013 with approved workshops will be published the 20th of January 2013.
